Management Team
WILLIAM F. MCCARTY III, PRESIDENT & CEO
William F. McCarty III, President & CEO, has over thirty years experience in the banking industry. He also serves as a Director of Belmont Financial Group, Inc. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President, member of the Executive Management team and Bank Director of MB Financial Bank, NA. Mr. McCarty also held the position of President & CEO, Chairman Pro Tem and Director of the First National Bank of Morton Grove. He was also Senior Vice President of the MidCity Financial Corporation, a five-bank holding company. Mr. McCarty received a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a MBA from DePaul University, Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
JOSE O. TORRES, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Jose O. Torres, Senior Vice President, brings more than thirty years experience in the banking industry to Pace Trust Bank. Most recently, Mr. Torres’ work experience has centered in lending for both commercial real estate and construction projects. He previously served in a similar role for several Chicago community banks. Mr. Torres started his career with The Mid-City National Bank of Chicago and has extensive experience in many areas of banking, all in the Chicago area.
DAVID M. PESHEK, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
David M. Peshek, Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, has over twenty years of experience in the banking industry. His primary responsibilities are retail deposit operations. Mr. Peshek also serves as the Compliance Officer, BSA Officer, IT Officer and Security Officer. Most recently, he was Vice President of Retail Administration at MB Financial Bank, NA. Mr. Peshek started his career at the First National Bank of Morton Grove where he served in several different capacities during his tenure. Mr. Peshek earned his BS in Finance and a MBA from DePaul University, Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
RONALD J. BANKS, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Ronald J. Banks, Chief Financial Officer, has served in this capacity since the Bank’s opening. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Banks served in various senior level finance officer capacities in state and local government. Mr. Banks is also a member of many professional organizations. Mr. Banks earned his BA in Accounting from Illinois Benedictine College and a JD from The John Marshall Law School.

MICHAEL P. LEONETTI, VICE PRESIDENT
Michael P. Leonetti, Vice President, joined Pace Trust Bank Company in 2016. Michael entered the banking industry after receiving his BS in Finance from Augustana College in 2011. He developed skills in both credit analysis and portfolio management through an extensive two-year credit analyst rotational program, where he gained the tools and knowledge necessary to become a well-rounded commercial lender. Michael is experienced in commercial real estate, construction, middle-market business lending and asset-based lending.
DAVID S. SCHWABE, VICE PRESIDENT
David S. Schwabe, Vice President, joined Pace Trust Bank in August 2018. David entered the banking industry in 2012 at First Midwest Bank after receiving his BS in Finance from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. David specializes in building relationships with business owners throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs by providing depository and lending solutions. He is currently enrolled at DePaul University, Kellstadt Graduate School of Business where he will earn his MBA.
MARIA BOBEL, TREASURY MANAGEMENT OFFICER
Maria Bobel, Treasury Management Officer, joined Pace Trust Bank Company in 2011. Maria previously held positions as Customer Service Manager/Assistant Branch Manager and Customer Service Associate with Pace Trust Bank. Maria received her BS in Finance from DePaul University in 2011.
KATHY KALINOWSKI, ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT/RETAIL BANKING & HR DIRECTOR
Kathy Kalinowski, has over 15 years of experience in banking industry. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked for MB Financial Bank. She is skilled in the areas of retail operations, compliance, AML, personal banking and HR. Kathy holds a BS degree in Management from National Louis University and a Master of Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
YOUNG KIM, ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT/RETAIL BANKING & OPERATIONS
Young Kim, Retail Banking Officer, has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. Her primary responsibilities are Retail Deposit and branch operations. Ms. Kim started her career at the First National Bank of Morton Grove in several different areas of the bank, including consumer lending, mortgage loan origination and personal banking.
ROBERT SZTREMER, LOAN OPERATIONS OFFICER
Robert Sztremer, Loan Operations Officer, joined Pace Trust Bank in 2008 in a capacity of a Loan Processor, bringing with him 10 years of working experience in residential mortgage lending industry. He graduated from DeVry University in 2013 with a BS in Finance and currently pursues a MS in Accounting from Keller Graduate School of Management. Robert’s expertise lays in lending compliance, loan documentation, closing, and funding.
